Envirosax, the original reusable designer shopping bags, are a funky and practical way to do your part to help the environment by reducing the ecological impact of single-use plastic bag waste whilst looking stylish at the same time. 

A single Envirosax rolls up to be about the size of a piece of sushi and weighs only 1.4oz (about 40g). Singularly or in a pouch the bags are small enough and light enough to fit easily in your glove box, pocket or purse, so forgetting your green bags won’t be a problem anymore.

The graphic series bags roll out to be 19.5” by 16.5” (49.5cm by 41.9cm), and can safely hold about 44lbs (20kg) thanks to the strong polyester fabric and reinforced seams. The bags are waterproof, and the eco-friendly inks used on the bags (in a range of rich solid colors and attractive patterns) won’t run when the bag is washed.

Envirosax bags are a great alternative to accepting plastic grocery bags whenever you go to the shop. The less plastic bags you use, the less there are to be found in the stomachs of sea turtles, wrapped around the heads of seabirds, or clogging drains and causing flooding.

Belinda and Mark David-Tooze, a couple committed to sustainable living and minimizing human environmental impacts, founded Envirosax in 2004. This commitment is evident in their own lifestyle, as well as their clever bag design. The David-Toozes live off the grid, using photovoltaic cells for their electricity needs, water collected from rain-tanks, and they grow their own organic fruit and vegetables on their rainforest property.

Proceeds from Envirosax are used to support conservation groups such as the Australian Marine Conservation Society, the Surfrider Foundation and the Royal Forest and Bird Protection Society of New Zealand.
